Jay Szabo

Growing up on 5½ acres where his father raised bees, planted orchards, and produced enough vegetables to feed a village, it is no wonder that Jay Szabo ended up a horticulturalist. Jay manages a small commercial farm on the campus of Dunham Tavern Museum, where he cultivates organically grown produce, especially signature tomatoes for Fire Food & Drink. In addition to farming, Jay works as a horticultural consultant, designing residential and commercial gardens.
