For many of us, cooking healthy meals throughout the week can be challenging. One way to ease the weeknight stress is to use your weekend wisely. A little extra time planning and shopping on Saturday can set you up to do your meal prep on Sunday. Here are four things you can tackle on Sunday to help cook up delicious meals the rest of the week.
Having fresh homemade bread is at the top of my list, so I make a double batch. I bake one loaf on Sunday and refrigerate the remainder to bake on Tuesday or Wednesday. Simply punch down the refrigerated dough as needed, then pull it out to form and proof. It will need only one rise. This recipe makes two beautiful mostly whole-wheat loaves that you can bake as a free-form loaf or in a loaf pan for a sandwich bread.
