Who’s your farmer? It’s a question that more people want to be able to answer these days. Yet many of us still don’t understand the life of the modern farmer.
This spring we invite you to join us at the 38th Cleveland International Film Festival for the screening of Farmland, a new documentary from Academy Award®-winning director James Moll. In this film, he goes behind the scenes with a new generation of American farmers to follow them in their daily routine. From organic to conventional, from growing produce to raising pigs and chickens, and even cattle ranching, these farmers’ stories tackle the myths many of us still believe about farming and the people who do it.
If you think you know what farmers are like, we invite you to think again. After the screening on Saturday, March 29th the film festival will host a forum with local farmers to better understand their perspective and help us all gain a deeper understanding of life on the farm in Northeast Ohio.
The film forum will take place immediately following the screening at Tower City Center Cinemas on Saturday, March 29 at 12 noon. You can also see the film on Friday, March 28 at 6:15pm.
