Advertising Sales Representative

We are looking for a motivated and qualified Advertising Sales Representative with at least 3 years of outside ad sales experience to join our team for print ad sales.  This is a commission only position. The commission plan is very generous and has an opportunity for bonuses. Developing new business is a priority.

Candidate will need to cold call and pursue sales opportunities and account development. Must be able to manage accounts after closing and have a proven track record for attracting and retaining business. Ability to make solid presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow- through, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and highly goal- oriented in order to achieve sales targets.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the sale from the initial call and closing the sale through making sure ad materials are received/created and coordinating with the designer to make sure everything is in place for the ad to run in the magazine. We do all the billing and collections.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • at least 3 years of advertising sales experience (a must)
  • cold calling experience and solid presentation skills
  • must be self-starter and be entrepreneurial in spirit
  • the ability to build relationships effectively
  • must be able to work independently in a home office
  • be computer proficient with a broadband internet connection
  • complete reports to update on account activity and emerging new opportunities
  • may involve travel beyond Cuyahoga County

Magazine Delivery Person

We are looking for a reliable and qualified delivery person who has his or her own delivery vehicle.  This is an independent contractor position requiring 2-3 weekdays per month.

A qualified candidate must be able to deliver to locations in the seven-county region. Lists will be provided.  He or she should have good time-management skills and safe driving record, and be a friendly people-oriented person.

The Delivery Person will be responsible for picking up magazines from our downtown warehouse and delivering to advertising partner locations. This may include contacting locations to schedule delivery, unpacking and placing magazines in displays, and checking in with owners when making the delivery. We will receive all delivery requests and provide delivery lists.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • a valid drivers license
  • current car insurance
  • a reliable vehicle that can haul heavy loads (magazines are heavy)
  • must be able to work independently
  • complete reports to update on deliveries
  • comfortable driving throughout the seven-county region
